Questions & Answers

Find our more about the project below:

How much will this cost, and how will we pay for it?

The cost is estimated at $3,000–$4,000 per year for five years, for a total of approximately $15,000–$20,000 per household.

Is the bridge secured?

Yes. Access will be limited to Admirals Cove residents, guests and family (along with club and HOA staff) only.

Will the city/state/railroad approve this project?

Very likely. We have already spoken with the city and state, and the necessary permits are obtainable. The railroad has also expressed interest in allowing an easement.

Why else is this a good idea?

As previously discussed among members, we have a water issue getting water from the retention pond in the GV over to the east side for the golf course irrigation. This bridge would also solve that problem by allowing a pipe to be connected and easily provide required water access.

How will this raise my property value?

As a platinum club, Admirals Cove must continue to offer the highest standards in quality and safety. Providing safe, convenient access between both sides of the club enhances the overall member experience. Easy access to the golf courses, golf performance center, and clubhouse adds to the community’s appeal and long-term value.

Why build the bridge?

Safety is the primary reason. Club members have experienced accidents while crossing A1A. This bridge would allow residents to travel between both sides of club safely. We also strongly believe we should not be encouraging or asking club and HOA employees to illegally traverse A1A as a job requirement.

How many votes are required for approval?

Approval requires a “yes” vote from 51% of the quorum.

Does this really benefit the club?

Yes. Reducing accidents involving members, guest, family and staff is a major benefit. The bridge will also help reduce vehicle traffic within the club, as residents will not need to drive as often. This helps alleviate parking and gate congestion on the east side.

How long will the project take, and will it be loud?

The project is expected to take a few years. While some noise is unavoidable, the bridge is located away from residential areas, so disruptions should be minimal.

Who will be responsible for ongoing maintenance and repairs?

The club/members will be responsible for minimal maintenance costs.

Will the bridge be accessible to everyone?

Yes, this is not just for golf cars, it will also accommodate pedestrians, bicycles, and residents with mobility challenges.

Are there security measures in place?

Yes, the bridge will be equipped with security cameras.

Will construction impact daily operations?

No, given the location of the bridge there should be no need for road closures or delays.

How will residents receive updates on progress?

We will post updates to our website regularly, admiralsbridgeproject.com
